The Toussaints vineyard is located on the hill of Beaune north of the appellation. It is surrounded by Grèves, Bressandes and Cent Vignes.
This premier cru has often been blended in our Beaune Premier Cru because it represents a small quantity every year (the surface is 0.68 ha).
1/3 of the vineyard is 60 years old, 1/3 40 years and 1/3 25 years old.
The grapes are destemmed, then fermented in vats. The wine is aged 15 months in French oak barrels.
Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy
Very deep red color. Subtle nose of white pepper, red fruits, ripe cherries with some light aroma of grilled coffee. The mouth is generous, supple with long lasting aromas of cherry stones.
Beaune Toussaints matches very well all sorts of meat but also terrines and cheese.
Like all the Beaune Premier Cru, Beaune Toussaints will be able to age more than 10 years if it is stored in good conditions.
