Tasting Note
Château de Rochemorin was one of the trend setters in restoring the reputation of fine white Bordeaux… Its appearance is impeccable, with a brilliant colour featuring delicate green highlights indicative of its youth. Nose : The nose is very complex, with overtones of yellow and pink citrus fruit. Toasty notes, both from perfectly ripe grapes and well-integrated oak, give even more character to this generous wine. One or two more years in bottle will bring out the aromas beautifully. Mouth : 2012 Château de Rochemorin is full-bodied, smooth, and very well-focused. The citrus on the nose carries over onto the palate, which displays an elegant mineral freshness typical of Rochemorin's particular brand of elegance. The aftertaste is quite long. This wine makes an excellent accompaniment to warm Norway lobster in a cream and grapefruit sauce or fillets of sole bonne-femme…
