     South African Wine Certification Test Launches
    The South African Wine Certification Test conducted by the Wine and Spirits Culture association will launch in March 2014. To celebrate the publication of the official text book “Everything about South African Wine; SOUTH AFRICA Wine Story” written by Principal  of Wine and Wine Culture,  Yumi Tanabe, a launch party was held for the press.
    At the party, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Boland CellarFive Climate series were served with other high quality South African wines.
    South Africa is a wine producing country that evolves everyday. The purpose of this certification test is to promote the awareness and spread the enlightenment of South African wines. There’s no prerequisite to take this test. Anybody can apply and try. For the details of this test, please visit the website below.

     The Event to Celebrate the Visit of Domaine de Baron’Arques General Manager
    On Thursday September 12th, to celebrate the visits of –, the General Manager of Domaine de Baron’Arques, and Mr. Philippe Dhalluin, the Technical Director of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pieroth Japan held 3 events at Tokyo American Club.
    In the morning, we held lecture and wine tasting for the press, and offering them the occasion to enjoy Baron’Arques’ wines and to match them with food.
    The following is the wines served for this special occasion.

    In the afternoon, we held a lecture and  tasting for our customers followed by winemaker’s dinner. At the lecture & tasting, 4 kinds of wines were served and the customers also enjoyed matching them with the food.

     At the makers’ dinner, Mr. Herve Gouin, Commercial Director of Chateau Mouton Rothschild also joined and the dinner turned out to be very festive. There was also a lottery held and the winner  got a  bottle of Domaine de Baron’Arques Chardonnay with Mr. Vincent Montigaud’s autograph. The guests all enjoyed this special night.

     Pieroth Participated in the special event "France Restaurant Week" organized by Diners Club

    Michelin 1 star winner RESTAURANT FEUalso participated in the event by giving a cooking demonstration. As we were a sponsor Chef Hiroyuki Matsumoto from the restaurant demonstrated for our customers at Le Cordon Bleu Tokyo Daikanyama on September 29th.  The demonstration was titled Great Discovery of Japanese Terroir.

    This year, the event theme was "made-in-Japan ingredients". Our customers, 20 in total, participated in the event and enjoyed the wonderful theme with three kinds of our wines.
    The wines served at the demonstration were all from Gerard Bertrand.Code Rouge was served first as an aperitif. It suited well the relaxing weekend afternoon atmosphere.
    The dishes cooked during the demonstration were Risotto with Root Kelp and Scallop fromMiyako, Iwate Prefecture, Country Style Terrine, and Comte Cheese Crème Brulee. The guests enjoyed tasting these with our wines. For the risotto, we served ’11 Cigalus Blanc, while for the Terrine we selected ’11 Cigalus Rouge.

    During the demonstration, Chef Matsumoto shared his experiences in France where he did his preparatory training. He also gave some useful cooking tips that participants could understand with ease. The event ended with customers’ smiles.
