Blackberry, creme de cassis and nutmeg greet you on the nose followed by a hint of chocolate covered black cherry. Notes of black tea, blueberry pie, black licorice and a hint of cigar box dance across your palate. Rich, round and complex, you will be delighted by the well-integrated tannin structure and long, lingering finish.
Food Matching: Traditional filet mignon with a béarnaise sauce. Tonkatsu with brown sauce. Grilled octopus also pairs nicely as well as grilled red miso soaked salmon with shitake mushrooms.
