Tasting Note: Clean red ruby wine, with violet tints. Fruity and intense aromas that remind us of plum and cherry. Also some notes of marmalade's. Juicy and balanced wine with soft and ripe tannins, a rich acidity and sweetness characteristic of variety. It is a long and harmonious wine ideal for high gastronomy.
Serving Suggestions: This wine has a great versatility. Perfect partner to red meats, cheeses, duck, grilled chicken and turkey and meat based sandwiches.

Terroir The vineyard is planted on soils of alluvial origin, with good water infiltration and optimal conditions for the development of the vines.
Climate Good climatic conditions of the valley along with the influence of the Maipo river make it the ideal climate to grow Zinfandel. Peteroa is located 200kms South of Santiago. The climate is Mediterranean and is highly influenced by the Pacific´s anticyclone. The annual precipitation is of 600 millimeters and happens mostly during the winter. The summers are usually warm, with a big amount of solar light and cold nights which allow us to have high quality grapes. The proximity of the Mataquito River, which is bordering our 70 year old vineyards, creates a microclimate and balances the temperature.
Geology  The soil is alluvial with different textures, created by the river, which leaves rocks, sand, gravel and basically clay.
Harvest  The vintage is defined according to the concentration of the grapes and their aromatic potential. Grapes were handpicked during the 3rd week of April.
Vinification The wine making technique its oriented to obtain aromatic and elegant wines. The grapes are destemmed and grinded gently for a long cold maceration. Grapes are de-stemmed and manually selected; selected yeasts; extended contact with the skin; complete malolactic fermentation.
Aging Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months
