Tasting Note: Refined spicy aromas with characteristic notes of peaches and apricots; elegant structure with a beautiful juicy body; well balanced, stunning finish.
Food Matching: A versatile and multi-talented beauty: a brilliant aperitif on its own or a sumptuous pairing with a range of appetizers and fish dishes, as well as light poultry or veal.
2018 Vintage: After a damp and dark winter with temperate temperatures, spring started as the driest and warmest year since temperature data was recorded. Even the values of the previous record year 2003 were clearly exceeded. An early bud break was followed by a rapid flowering, which was completed in the beginning of June. In contrast to the previous year, spring frosts were completely absent. To preserve the grapes' natural freshness and brilliance, the harvest began already September 4th. The wines have an extraordinary concentration and show a juicy raciness. All in all, we speak of a dream vintage, which leaves nothing to be desired.
Vinification: Gentle pressing followed by spontaneous fermentation and several months in stainless steel tanks and traditional wood barrels sourced from local oak.
