    impressive color, it is an intense deep dark opaque black ruby with purple highlights.  It has a sophisticated and complex nose.  Integrated with hints of tobacco, violet, oak, vanilla and toast against a background of concentrated berry aromas.  Full-bodied, it is rich with a solid core of fresh fruit backed by firm ripe tannins.  Well-crafted with vanilla and almost fresh currant fruit smoothing out the tannins and lingering on a long finish.  JKW 4/2018.
