Château La Tempérance




Location: Saint-Seurin de Cadourne and Saint Christoly du Médoc.
 
Area under vine: 14 hectares.
 
Wine grape variety: 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Age of vines: 20 years.
Vine density: 6,600 vines per hectare.
Terroir: Some of the vines are located on a clay-limestone plateau, and the rest on Garonne gravel.
Viticulture: Traditional Bordeaux pruning with two canes. Leaf thinning and green harvesting when necessary.
Winemaking:Carefully sorted. The wine is left on the skins in temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats before ageing in barrels for 10 months.
Yield: 40 to 50 hectolitres per hectare.
