About Producer: Rimapere has been created from a shared vision of the families of Baron Benjamin Rothschild and Terry Peabody. The name comes from the Maori translation of "five arrows", which signifies the five branches oif the famous Rothschild family. Its home is a very special, gravel and stone infused vineyard located on Marlborough's Rapaura Road golden mile in the famous Wairau Valley.
Tasting Note: Bright cherry colour with a crimson hue. Lifted aromatics of violets and dark roses over an abundance of ripe cherry and an underlying note of tree bark. On the palate this wine is a beautiful expression of Pinot Noir with a lovely ripeness of fruit carried long by fine soft tannins for a dry finish. Elegant and poised.
