For over 50 years Umberto Cesari has been the ambassador of Sangiovese in the world. Since its beginnings, in the early 1960s, the company (which extends over 355 hectares on the hills of Castel San Pietro Terme, at the foot of Tuscan Apennines) has strongly believed in its own territory, capable of giving extraordinary grapes. The pursuit of quality without compromise is our mission since 1964. In its implementation we are led by our fundamental values: preservation of environment and protection of land and vine, value of human experience, use of the most innovative technologies and techniques.
Since the end of the 1980s in the vineyards we have adopted agricultural practices aimed at preserving land and vines. In 2018 Umberto Cesari was the first to be certified as a "National Integrated Production Quality System" (SQNPI) for the production of grapes and wines in the Emilia Romagna region.
