The commune of Savigny les Beaune is located above between Aloxe Corton and Pernand Vergelesses, in the north of the Côte de Beaune.
Savigny produces exclusively red wines (90%) under the village and premier cru appellations.
The Savigny les Beaune blanc is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes.
Pinot Blanc gives a mellow texture while Chardonnay will give finesse and ageing potential.
The fermentation takes place in wooden barrels, after which they are aged in barrels as well for an average of 15-17 months before being bottled.
Winemaker's comments / gastronomy
Maison Louis Jadot vinified the production of different growers to yield a Savigny les Beaune blanc perfumed and mellow, delicate and fresh with this rich texture due to the Pinot Blanc grapes.
This wine will be perfect with fish in a white sauce, poultry and goat cheeses.
This wine will age for 5-8 years in good cellaring conditions.
